Weight Fluctuations and Rings

One of the things people worry about during the holiday season is weight gain. Yes, tis the season to be merry and jolly, but then after the holidays, you see all the diet commericals on t.v. So how does this tie together with jewelry? If someone's weight fluctuates all the time, the rings they wear can become too tight or too loose and having rings resized can be very costly. An alternative would be to have a jeweler build a ring guard within the shank that can then be adjusted by the wearer so that the ring fits them properly. All About Ring Guards

It can become quite costly to have your gold or silver rings resized. A ring guard, can be a temporary fix for some ring wearers, or depending on the type of ring, can be your best friend too.

Here are some reasons why to consider a ring guard:

If you have a large stone ring, chances are that the ring spins on your finger. A ring guard will prevent the stone from turning.

If you have arthritis or joint pains in your knuckles, your rings might be sized larger to get them over your knuckles, but then they spin.

If your weight fluctuates, your finger sizes changes and you are limited to wearing your rings.

Do you retain more water, especially during the summer, your fingers will swell.

If a child has a ring that is many sizes too large, the child would have to wait years to grown into it.

Ring guards are available in gold, silver, and metal and can be installed by a jeweler. Once a jewelery adds it to your rings, you push up or down in the middle of the guard to adjust it to the required size.
